Thanks to a 2004 FEMA Assistance to Firefighter Grant, the Oran Fire Protection District will soon be getting a new truck.
 

The new rescue engine is built and will be delivered on Friday Sept. 9, 2005.

In August of 2004 we received a grant in the amount of $225,000.00 (federal share - not including our $25,000.00 cost share) for the purchase of a new rescue/engine.
We are expecting our 2005 Spartan/Rosenbauer rescue/engine in Sept. 2005.
 
This new engine will include the following options.
Spartan Advantage 6 man chassis.
Rosenbauer (Central States) rescue/engine body.
Cummins ISL 400 hp engine.
Allsion Automatic Transmission.
1250 Hale Q-flow pump.
750 gallon poly tank with 30 gallon intergrated foam cell.
Built in In-line foam eductor and off truck foam pickup system.
On-Spot Chains.
Full depth, full height rescue style compartments.
LED lighting package.
MX-7000 light bar with D-tech lenses.
Roto-Ray light.
2 - Brow lights.
Side quartz and halogen scene lights.
Electric ladder rack.
Q-Siren.
Hard suction storage inside the body.
Firecom headsets for 6.
6Kw Hydraulic generator.
Hurst rescue reel with 100' of hose.
Electrical reel.
Low pressure air hose reel.
Aluminum wheels.
Four crosslays (two 1-3/4 inch and two 2 inch)
Two rear 2-1/2 inch crosslays.
One 1-3/4 inch front trash line in bumper.
